Portrait of William Andrew Bratton, lawyer in Marlinton, W.Va., served as Pocahontas County Proscuting Attorney in 1906 and 1917. Elected to first Marlinton Town Council in 1900. Born at "Rock Rest" in Bath County, Va. Dec. 24, 1869.Married Fanny Berry Cologne. Graduated Washington and Lee University 1890, Phi Delta Phi. Asst. counsel to U.S. Food Administration in Washington during World War I. Children: Mary Frances (m. French H. Moore), Virginia Guy (m. Dr. R. G. Frame), Sue McKee, Robert Andrew (killed in Korea 1951)
