Rubbing of the gravestone of Abraham Burner, the Pioneer. Reads: ABD June 18, 1827 Age 70. Gravestone was found beside the fence at a church in Bartow, W.Va. Abraham Burner(1757-1827) came to the Bartow area around 1785 following service in the War of the Revolution. Son of Earhart and Anna Burner. Married Mary Magdalene Hull. Nine children: Daniel, John, Abraham Jr., Adam, Elizabeth, Henry, George, Mary M. and Jacob.
