We had a great time at Huntersville Traditions Day over the weekend where we displayed our World War II Exhibit. A lot of folks braved the cold weather and stopped by to look at the photographs. A few people brought pictures to be scanned and number of inductees were identified. Read Column

A few people called with names and information on photographs that we've had in the paper over the last 2 weeks. Carolyn Burns of Marlinton identified the photo of the Marlinton Methodist Church Choir (PHP000621). The occasion was an Easter Program in 1944. The Organist and Choir Director was Lavina Johnson. I was up in Bartow this week to walk around the late Jessie Powell's property at Travellers' Repose. As most of you know, the place is going up for auction this weekend and the future of yet another county historic landmark is very much on our minds. Read Column
